Fast Blogging – Hype Up Your Blog: 6 Ways to Do It

Filed Under (blog) by Roy Sutanto on 05-11-2007

Blogging is the new hype. Here and there, are new blogs and almost everyone has turned into a writer. Why the blog popularity? It is because blogs allow people to write whatever they want without needing to be an expert writer. It’s free from criticisms that formal writings get subject into. However, if one is blogging to earn money, it must be kept in mind that a leeway blogging will not earn him enough. So how does one get the most out of a blog? Below are tips gathered from bloggers all around the Web to share the success they have out of blogging.

a. Devise a stunning home page for your blog. A blogger must always consider new visitors to his site. Maybe the regulars will have a virtual map of your blog in their mind, but it is not the case with the new ones. This is especially important for blogs that cater to different topics. Avoid an avalanche of information. Winning the interest of your new visitors is your goal here.

b. A lot of bloggers uses a certain number of keywords in their blog titles and in their contents. It is necessary to do so, because search engines would rank your page according to relevancy, not just the titles. Keywords are easy to use. If you don’t want to waste time on research, then just think like the searchers. Type a keyword that you think they would likely put in a search engine.

c. Posts your entries under one category. Avoid having multiple categories and putting an entry to different categories for that one. It would cause confusion to your readers and will have difficulty in browsing your entries.

d. Reference your other blog posts of the same topic. This will inform your reader of your previous works and make them stay within your site.

e. Use visuals as another form of conveying information. It also breaks the monotony of text – giving a fresh look to your website.

f. Allow your visitors and readers to subscribe in your entries. Have a feed button or a form that will allow them to read your content via e-mail.
