If you are wondering how to make money online but do not know how to start, do not worry too much. In this blog post, I will go through some basic ideas that you must know before getting started. This blog post will not make you an expert but should be able to provide you with some ideas and guidelines on what skill and tools you need to have.
These are the 4 things you need:
1) A simple one page website with a lead capture form
2) An autoresponder service
3) A blog
4) Last but not least, TRAFFIC (Visitors)
Let’s discuss them in more details.
1) A simple one page website
Perhaps you may think it is too simple but the truth is you don’t need to build complicated one hundred pages websites to start making money online. All you need is one simple webpage with a lead capture form to capture your visitors’ name and email address.
The reason why you want to capture their name and email address is for you to follow up with them again and again instead of losing them forever. For example, if you are trying to sell a house decoration product to a house owner, you will want to offer a free report like “How To Decorate Your House Beautifully With Budget As Low As $100″ in exchange for their email address.
Creating a website is simple. If you do not have frontpage or adobe dreamweaver, what you can do is to go to each of the website and download the trial version. However if you want free software to create website, go to www.nvu.com to get one.
2) An autoresponder service
An autoresponder is a form of email software which able to capture your visitors name and email address then automate the sending of your email. An autoresponder is needed so that it can follow up with your visitors automatically for you. It may come in the form of a software or a paid service. 3) A blog
You may also want to consider starting a blog. It is recommended to use a wordpress blog which I am using right now. You will need to register for a webhosting account as well as a domain name. You should choose a domain name with relevant keywords.
The purpose of a blog is to provide your visitors with relevant and useful content regularly so that you visitors will return to your blog. You will then be able to sell services from your blog.
Obviously, it will take some effort for you to generate sufficient traffic to your blog which leads to….
4) Traffic Generation
Let me tell you the truth! Your website or blog is useless if no one visits them, agree?
You should try to master how to generate free traffic. This is especially important to people who have limited funds as well as beginners. Some free traffic generation techniques are article marketing, forum posting, social networking site etc.
I am currently only using 2 method to generate traffic: Article marketing and Blogging. Both of them work very well and I have been getting massive amount of visitors to my website.
If you are having limited fund, I recommend you to use article marketing and blogging first. After you have some extra income, you could proceed to use paid traffic like pay per click.
